Step Up Performers is the place for students who want to achieve more with their dance, learn new skills and techniques and take the first steps of their showbusiness journey.
More is expected of the child in class as it becomes technically harder and a stronger emphasis on placement and performance. There is a greater emphasis on the performance and practice is expected at home.

About Step Up Performers
Step Up Performers is the sister company of Stepping Up Performing Arts.
It’s for children who have natural talent and a passion for dance and want to take their skills and performance work to another level.
We offer aspiring performers who have moved through our dance programmes the opportunity to train in all aspects of performing arts alongside their academic studies at school.
As well as helping our students to build their skills, refine their techniques and enhance their fundamentals, we offer a full and rounded education designed to teach vital life skills, build confidence and expand imaginations through structured singing, acting and dance classes.
Our students regularly perform in festivals and shows in Birmingham, London and across the UK, and many have gone on to participate in competitions, professional performances and stage work.

Theatre school
Within the theatre school a strong emphasis is placed on singing and dance bringing all performance skills to life on stage. It is musical theatre in the true form, working on statecraft and direction, styles and drama techniques. The theatre school helps him build confidence and character.
It will ignite the passion to perform bringing a sparkle on stage. Every child, can have a chance to shine.
Regular performances are held so they get to work on scripts and material performing it in professional theatres.

Our dance leaders, Debbie and Karen, ensure that every student is treated individually to help them enhance their skills and techniques and reach their full potential. We place great emphasis on:
Atmosphere
Dance and dedication. Technique classes are taught weekly to work on routines, core strength, flexibility and technique to help each individual reach their full potential and stretch them that little bit more.
Performance
Students are invited to take part in festivals up and down the country, many taking part in solos duets trios and groups. For this a certain level of dance is expected. Groups are invited to take part in Dance Performances up and down the country including Birmingham hippodrome and West End theatres.
Prospects
Many of our students who have left us have gone onto vocational dance schools up and down the country furthering their technique and academic skills in dance and drama, fulfilling their dreams of turning professional and making the entertainment business their life.
Professionalism
Both Debbie and Karen are X professional dancers and know what is expected of the students to succeed in the business. They nurtured the dancers and create exceptional dancers ready to stand out in the business

Our annual talent showcase
At Step Up Performers, dance is a way of life, and performance lies at the core of everything we do.
We aim to introduce children to the world of dance without the pressure of exams unless they wish to.
All our children and students are invited to perform in our annual show, where they can feel the thrill and excitement of performing in a professional theatre in costume. This invaluable experience helps build confidence and self-worth and allows every little star the chance to shine.
During showtime, Step Up Performers students help mentor the younger children while gaining the opportunity to work with professional entertainers and learn more about the practical side of show business. They also help organise other shows and demonstrations throughout the year for the whole school to participate.
Learning the ropes, what happens backstage, and the hard work and dedication that goes into putting on a professional stage production gives our students a thorough grounding in the business side of dance.
