About Stepping Up Performing Arts
Stepping Up Performing Arts is a dance school with a difference. We work with children of all ages, providing structured dance classes where they’re encouraged to have fun, make friends and enjoy music and dance in a safe, nurturing and pressure-free environment.
Children learn best when they’re having fun. Our classes are designed to help our pupils develop their minds, confidence and coordination through a shared love of dance.
As they get older, they can develop their skills and techniques with more structured dance classes.
We also organise regular performances throughout the year, so the children can show off their moves. We’re like one big, happy family, where many of our children stay with us throughout their school years and into young adulthood and make friends for life.
We aim to provide affordable dance training for children and young people, to nurture their life skills and build confidence and self-esteem while ensuring they have a lot of fun along the way.

We’re open to children (girls and boys) of all ages and abilities and pride ourselves on nurturing all our dancers to bring out their best and help them achieve their full potential.
Whether they’re doing it for fun or are serious about a career in theatre, dance or the performing arts, we strive to help them all achieve their dreams. We teach a wide range of styles, including:

- Musical theatre
- Stretch and acro-dance
- Lyrical dance
Performance is at the core of everything we do. We aim to introduce children to the world of dance without the pressure of exams.
All our children are invited to perform at our annual Showtime Event, where they get to perform in a professional theatre and experience the glitz and glamour of a life in showbiz.
Meet the team
Our dance teachers
All our classes are delivered by professionally trained dance teachers. They are recognised by the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. They hold teaching diplomas and BA honours degrees, are enhanced DBS checked, have first aid certificates and are chaperone-trained by Worcestershire County Council.
